Sevan Multi-Site Solutions, Inc., (Sevan) received the Safety Evaluation Process (STEP) Platinum Award from the Illinois Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).
The Platinum Level the second-highest recognition within the STEP program. The STEP Platinum indicates that a company is at least 300% safer than the Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average.
The STEP program has evolved into a world-class safety management system designed to dramatically improve safety performance and reduce jobsite incidents. Companies’ safety processes and policies are measured on 25 key components. Through a detailed questionnaire, the STEP system advises companies on how to enhance their safety programs.
“The award validates what we’ve been doing is in fact working and producing the results we’ve aimed for,” John Garcia, Vice President of Safety, said.
In support of valuing our team members, Safety was established as a tenet during the organization’s inception. This tenet has been woven into every facet of the business including extensive new hire orientation, field audits and reoccurring required safety training.
