Skyline Scaffold is a subcontractor that provides scaffolding for contractors working on all building types. The project bid process is a crucial component of Skyline Scaffold’s business, but prior to working with Sevan, they didn’t have a standardised template for collecting bid information. This led to bidding inconsistencies across the company and bidding information was lost when employees left the company.
Sevan worked with ownership and the bidding team to create a bidding blueprint that includes important fields to record bidding information. Once that information is recorded in the blueprint, project dashboards are automatically generated to show bid managers their active projects and their pending bids. Sevan also created a bid approval blueprint so once a bid is approved, trackers are automatically generated so bid managers can kick off a project with the client and track project scheduling, financing, change orders and more.
All parties involved in Skyline Scaffold’s bid process now have full insight into everything needed to complete or update a bid which reduces the time from the initial meeting to bid submission resulting in more awarded projects. Smartsheet’s automation capabilities also allowed Sevan to build an automated approval request submission so once an awarded project is submitted for approval, the leadership team will receive an email with the bid info for them to approve.
