5 EV charging bays installed.
Station remained open with minimal disruption.
CHALLENGE
Before work began, the Motor Fuel Group (MFG) site contained a single-story sales building and forecourt equipped with six pump islands with below ground fills and vents. There were also six customer parking spaces and car care facilities. There was pressure to keep the site trading as far as possible. The EV layout also had to be approved before work could begin.
SOLUTION
Wyeth, a Sevan company, designed and managed the internal remodel and installation of the EV chargers. Most of the site remained operational during the program due to careful phasing and management with temporary closures. The internal remodel of the existing petrol filling station shop rearranged the retail area to make room for a new Greggs food offer and optimize the space. The shop underwent minor refurbishing to align with the latest MFG specifications.RESULTS
The pumps were unaffected by the work, and the site was developed to contain five EV charging bays with accompanying substation and LV panel installed. The chargers were positioned to fit the client’s specific layout and an overarching canopy was placed behind it. The team provided a quick turnaround and ensured high levels of communication to minimize site delays and launch as planned.
