21-23 New store builds per year.
Standardized project management process.
CHALLENGE
In 2020, Jiffy Lube set out to expand its store presence for the first time in 22 years. In total, 60 new sites will be built over the course of 2-3 years. Resource and labor scarcity has led to inflated bid costs, making it more expensive for Jiffy Lube to build its sites.
SOLUTION
Sevan’s development services team evaluated Jiffy Lube’s new site list to evaluate the optimal location of each site. Once sites were determined, the CZP and architecture teams worked with each municipality to get the proper permitting and zoning clearance. Once all permitting was secured, Sevan’s PM team organized each stage of the site build and worked with Jiffy Lube’s contractors to find ways to lower the cost of the work and stay within Jiffy Lube’s budget.
RESULTS
Sevan developed a standardized process to evaluate potential sites, acquire permitting and zoning documentation and develop the build schedule. The process allows Sevan to manage the development of 21-23 new store builds a year which should help Jiffy Lube complete the three-year program early.
